Nattestid and Gil Rivera

I really am so random with shoots and also very picky. Me and model Nattestid had been talking about shooting together since we worked together at the Queen of the Jungle event. Last minute she set up things with Gil Rivera Fotography and we had an amazing makeup artist, Mia TheMlook

So how could anything go wrong? Well...they didn't. Except for being in a cold studio because I complain about everything, some incredible shots came from this.

You can check out more images on my website or Facebook. Like the fanpage and you'll see lots more images even before I post them here!

Black & Gold

Here's the full set from the photoshoot I was a part of a bit ago. The images came out amazing and shows off pieces from my last collection SO perfectly. We shot in so many cool locations and looking back, the fact that it was an insanely long day and that's when my back was first hurting badly...it was all worth it.

Just love. The photos speak for themselves.

So...Where was Johnny Depp?

Over the weekend, I was on hand for photoshoot featuring designs from my latest collection!

We shot around the town of Sleepy Hollow and it was so cool checking out (via the car window) the little town, orange & black street signs and the biggest cemetery I've ever seen.

Below are just three shots I took on my phone from the day. You can kind of see the outfits, but definitely can get a feel for where we were all at. We started out at this abandoned school. I wouldn't say it was really old, but totally got this vibe of 'Silent Hill' and thought that twisted janitor from the bathroom was going to come crawling out from the shadows and kill us.

We survived though!
Photographer was Brent Lee of Phun Photo, model was the lovely Alex and pulling out make up and hair magic was Adriana.

First look and location was in the greenhouse part of this school. Glass was EVERYWHERE! As well as those little red spiders/ants were everywhere.

Then we moved into the school...the first look was up in the attic of the place in this area that I don't even know what it was, but there were wheels, open roof and the model stood on a grate looking down to a really long drop. There was these like 'pens' all about...I said that's where they kept the students who needed to be reprimanded.

They also shot in the stairwell, but I was too busy laying down because my back started killing me! But we then got Applebees and recharged on the drive to the final location.

We got to this old building on the water and had a weird 'non-gay guido meeting' across the way from us. They were also trying to sneak a peek at our gorgeous model who was getting the ultimate drag-vamp make up job.

We shot three looks and this is the first. Won't tell you how they all got down to the little stream there, but doesn't she look like a glam metal version of Ariel after she became human?

Can't wait to get thses photos back!

Electric Hippie

I hate hippies. I have expressed this to actual hippies. Youtube Cartman/South Park and hippies. That is me.

But THIS I Love!

Miss Emma, sporting stunning red hair, was shot by the super awesome Tiffany Ann.

Throw her in a neon electric rainbow hippie/mod romper and doll her up by Ben and Molly Make Up...it's a modern day hippie who's super cool.

I will be posting more images on my website : www.SibylVainClothing.com

Full set will be on the fan page for the eyes of only those who 'Like' me : www.Facebook.com/Sibyl.Vain

Plus, I probably will be posting new GORGEOUS shots of Miss Mischief shot by Tiffany Ann on one of those site before I do here.

Pretty Pretty Princess

She wears a crown of Sex Slaves homage...

The wonderful Julie of Creepshow Photography sent me some surprise images! I had given her clothing WAAAAAAYYYYY... back in the day and she was shooting with a new model, Hannah, and used one of the dresses she had of mine.

I love it! It's that 'cooler than you' chick who's off to a concert.

Rockin' the silver & turqouise Roxy dress.

Again Reagan?

I had the pleasure of shooting with photographer Reagan Lam and model Rachel Jean and Glamdoll Make Up Artistry.

Reagan always blows me away and I've only worked with him one other time - he was the first to shoot a guy's outfit I made. Go Reagan!

Rachel Jean I hadn't worked with yet or even talked much with prior to this shoot, so I was flattered she asked me to this shoot.

We started in the ghetto, but then moved location thanks to the sun now setting so friggin' early in the day. But I didn't care - look who was shooting, what could go wrong?

Nothing!

So here's two of my favorite shots and you can view the whole set on Reagan's Flickr Link Here

Barrie Blau is a god!!!!

I'll have two other shots to add to my list of why Barrie rocks, but here's two I don't even think she posted.

I sent her a box of goodies and then she surprises me with a stunning shot of Jordan Supernavage, who has like no make up on and is freakin' stunning as hell in one a black faux snakeskin Minxy dress. WHOA!

So yea, back to work I go. I really need to do a video blog.

It's still awkward driving my new car, but got to drive down to Philly-ish area this weekend, so I guess that'll break it in.

And I'm waiting on all the specific details and flyers, but keep updated - http://www.sugarandspikesrocks.com/ - fashion show in August! Knitting Factory on August 19th - stoked!

It'll be my first time at the new location of Knitting Factory...man, I honestly wasn't aware of when they first moved, but I realized it about a year after and was so bummed. I can't even count how many times my sister and I went to the Leonard Street location. That place rocked and probably beat out Starland Ballroom as most visited venue for us. ::cries!::

Bayonet and Shoots

haha...see what I did there with the title?

anyways...I have some pictures to post from two shoots I got images of and Oh. My. Goodness. They are all amazing. The one set, I'm going to do a post tomorrow with those images, but for now - let's talk about my first music experience of the new year and I'll leave you with one sneak peek at another shoot we did last week.

So tonight, I stuck around to see the set from BAYONET on the NJ stop of SET YOUR GOALS' tour. Who are they? Basically the singer of SENSES FAIL, people from the now disfunct THE BANNER and other dudes.

Let's remind the reader of my love and slight obsession with SENSES FAIL and their singer.

That said, I had to stick around and see what was to come of this, as the songs on their myspace didn't grab me - http://www.myspace.com/bayonetdoesntcare

So! I must say, it's basically SENSES FAIL wihtout the little 'metal shredding' flourishes and Buddy whining about this and that - well at least it's not clear in the vocals.

I liked it. Few moments of catchier melodies, back then to some 'harder' drums and such and non-nasally vocals, which you got to love.

Check it out if you haven't. I'm excited for what's to come as I've kinda given up that any new material from Senses Fail will live up to what I remember of them.

(After I went home b/c snow sucks and I wasn't going to drive in what's accumulating outside)

That said, here's a shot from the Creepshow shoot we did last week. Rock and Roll!

Shoots and Interviews - Oh My!

So I might be interviewing someone from Anti-Flag tomorrow, or Monday or who knows. But we'll see.

The shoot on Sunday was really cool and I cannot wait to see the end shots from it. The lovely Rebecca wound up wearing two pieces of mine, so that was cool. Plus the photographer had teh cutest pug EVER!

This Sunday we are doing another shoot and I don't want to dive into details b/c I'm super stoked for it and am finishing up all the garments. Ok, so it's only two outfits, but still - a man's suit & tshirt then a woman's skirt, shrug, vest and leotard.

I got a lot of work ahead of me.

Oh! my hair is different! Atomic pink in the front and black cherry in the back - shut up!

New Year New Ideas

I have two shoots I'll be on hand for in the next two weeks and I am STOKED! I'll let you know how they come out. I'm dressing up the gorgeous Rebecca Marchand for a look with Jeff Cohn.

Then I get to see her again with a shoot with Reagan Lam doing a more excellent shoot idea. ::eek!::

I had done a shoot in November with photographer Art-i-fical and models Poison & Dorothy Johanna and make-up/hair magician Nicole Gevirtz.

Then I set out stuff to the insane photographer Gas Oven over in Ohio for whatever amazingness in her head.

Check out first choice picks from the Art-i-ficial shoot and followed by picks from Gas Over (more to hopefully come from her).

Ohh....the 'dead' shots

I finally got photos back on the red one-sided tiger skater dress paired with the rib cage miltary corset. Wow, that was a mouthful!

I hope there'll be more, but I'm sure - doesn't matter though b/c these shots are rad as hell!

There's also more photos from this shoot on my myspace - myspace.com/sibylvain

OH! and I'm FINALLY FINALLY in ALL CERTAINTITY getting a webpage up and running by the end of May. yay!

Creepshow Photoshoot

Photoshoot: Creepshow Photography
10.26.2008 - Philly area

Not only was this the first time shooting with Julie of Creepshow Photography, but it was also my FIRST photoshoot. It came out so amazing!

We met up at the Theater of the Living Arts and began our gameplan. Fun note - the sign at the TLA had 'Creepshow' on it, so it was like it was all meant to be.

Luckily, we got to use the one car as a changing room instead of probably having to sneak in and out of the bathrooms at Starbucks or like Johnny Rockets. Surprisingly, I don't think anyone really took notice.

There were six looks, that were broken into pairs and worked so well together. I didn't even plan it that way, so I was shocked. The models rocked all the looks - Crash & Caitlyn.

We strolled around, but I kind of already knew where I wanted to go. We choose the mirror muraled walls scattered around on the back streets, then a dingy alley with graffit and a dumpster and various other surroundings.

What turned out to be nice photos were this corner of half mirror mural corner and then a plain back alley, then we found 50s avacado colored chairs outside a thrift store to use and we took a real quick shot outside a tattoo parlor.

It was interesting with people stopping and staring, a few older rocker types kind of poked fun at the clothes as we walked by, but one of the best parts of the afternoon - there's a new vintage/thrift store that opened right next to where the Funhouse use to be!
