I'll have t-shirts (which haven't been shown to the world yet), new samples I've been working on and sale items! I wish I could be bringing more, but due to the recent problems I've had with my spine...as a designer whose clothing is currently all handmade, I was unable to sew for the past month.

But that doesn't mean we're not going to have a good time at this event.

Pricing was $30 last time I checked and is for the whole weekend and includes free camping for the weekend.

Being today is Wednesday...let's talk what is inspiring my next collection.

I'm working on a collection for the Reflections Project in Spetember and have so many things I'm pulling inspiration from - they will follow in the next weeks. The title of the collection won't be said until we get closer to the date, but see if you can find the theme.

First clue - Lady Gaga's "Judas" video

So, I wasn't really into this song and still it's 'meh' for me, but I LOVE this video. I'm a sucker for anything 'religious imagery' related. Is it offensive? No. And for those who find offense...it's taking the story of Jesus and making fan fiction of it.

It's beautiful and the clothing is AMAZING! What I'm taking from it - embellishments, crosses, ripped clothing, biker chick chic and the fringed sleeves weird straight jacket/leotard blue number with the Bleeding Heart on it.

Fool's Gold Event & Fashion Show

Photos and extras are taking forever to come in from the recent event I did. So far I only have two professional shots in and I've posted them below.

I'm really excited for the festival we got over here in New Jersey - The Bamboozle. There's so many good bands this year. Last year was absolutely horrid and just a horrible time. So this year if some bitch decides to cut the 30minute line for water and throw an attitude, the fact I get to see Jared Leto, Senses Fail and Motley Crue in one weekend will make up for it.

I'm excited too because I wrote three articles for the magazine I write for that'll be on the festival grounds. Hopefully they'll all be used and I'm praying a photopass will get approved too.

Got plenty of shoots going on. Working with a lot of familiar faces and a bunch of new ones. I get like new photos in every week and they are so killer. I want to get a few more together from people and then I'll start posting them here.

Operation Fashion Show - Success!

The show I did at the Fool's Gold Event at Sapphire Lounge in NYC ran by S.E.E. Us Events was SO awesome!

The theme was 'Egyptian Pin-up' and feel the collection supported this theme.

I am anxiously awaiting photos and possibly video. Can't wait!

OK! My collection shown at Reflections was inspired by sideshow and circus acts. Each look was a particular character and my interpretation of them. Check out the photos below.

I'm going around stealing photos and waiting for more - I really wish I had enlisted my one friend to take photos with my camera. Oh wells...

SO much happened at Reflections 2010, held at Polaris nightclub in Philadelphia. It's crazy how you go in, thinking there's like 8 hours till your show takes the stage and you can kick back and slowly get things together and then it's like BAM! 30 minutes before the models take the stage.

Got there after lunchtime, went and got food, started setting up then it was like - hurdles popped up, got caught in conversations, went back and forth with what outfit each model should wear...that my friend is how 2pm quickly becomes 8pm.

It was cool because there was artwork being displayed and me and the main woman behind the event, Rebecca Marchand, are big AFI freaks and there was AFI-related pieces that put a smile on my face.

This is Part 1 of the my Reflections experience and I guess, I'm going to start with the end result - it was awesome! If you missed it, you suck.

I did leave around midnight, which is when the real fun began, but a 2 hour drive back home was not something I wanted to tackle at 2am on 5 hours of sleep.

I'll end with images. So far it's all I've found and are super awesome. This photographer shot Reflections last year and his images were my favorite of the bunch and this year was no different.

Sex Slaves & Toxic Vision

Yea, so it may have been back in August, but hell! I wanna talk about it.

August 21st at Santos Party House in NYC for bands, fashion and one drunk birthday dude.

My sister and I get stuck in Chinatown trying to get there b/c there was the one festival that weekend in Little Italy and they had a street blocked off - some crazy guy was the 'traffic director,' which meant no cops were around and so he just yelled at us if we didn't move fast enough.

We made perfect timing though - things were running a little behind and thank god too, b/c the music was SO loud between sets, we went downstairs to escape it between acts.

My photographer/friend/Sex Slaves worshiper was also there - doing what, you may ask...keeping guard of the Sex Slaves' merch table. haha, she's too funny. And...takes really cool shots of those boys at shows (just not of that night). Check it - http://www.flickr.com/photos/creepshowphotography/

We walked in on the one band playing, London from Daisy of Love is in it - don't know, wasn't too impressed.

One of the best parts of the night was the crazy man of honor, Samuel Valentine, who was happy and drunk as it was his birthday. That plus his accent made his introductions of people quite entertaining.

Like I said - perfect timing. Toxic Vision showed her fall collection 'Widowmaker' and it was bananas. I wish I had the body (and monies) to buy some stuff. From highly embellished bustiers, to monster fur sleeves to her standard spandex pants, I was so enjoying everything.

After were The Sex Slaves and omg - DIES! Music = fun and crazy as hell, Band Members = hot as hell, Overall review is AWESOMENESS.

Just about a week away is the Reflections Art & Fashion event. SOOOOOO much stuff I need to get together - I feel really behind this summer, but it was kinda a stressful/depressing summer.

Of course my clothing line is always number one in my heart, but I've been really bummed I haven't written for the magazine I write for in about two months - ouch. I'm looking ahead though to all the great concerts coming up in the fall - free tickets! haha

But now at my day job, they're slowly making me a telemarketer. What the...
I'm just such a spaz on the phone, I stumble over my words like whoa - I guess that's why all my interviews had to be scripted, which was a complaint I received from a couple people helping me become better in my writing.

Sugar & Spikes Fashion Show and Concert

I'm going INSANE!

Two days to finish up everything and I'm SO behind. On top on all of this, my mom springs on me that tomorrow I have to take her and a friend into the city because we're going to be in the Dr. Oz audience, that's out of left field.

So excited for this - come out and join us - I heard there's free liquor being served from 8pm - 9pm (which is probably when I'm on or right before).

Less Than A Week!

Haha, thought I was going to write 'Less Than Jake' for the title.

It's less than a week before the group show I'm in organized by Sugar & Spikes, being held at Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, NY, August 19th - OMG!

I had been hearing about 'Bordello Shoes' a lot more recently, first by one model I worked with, T.C., and then again at the shoot I was apart of the end of July. I never looked for them until T.C. had a photo on the Facebook.

Interpol, I love thee...

Ok, so that photo looks old, but it's the first I grabbed and one of the members, Carlos, has left...so...but they're still so friggin adorable - please excuse the teeny-bopperness.


Spent the weekend down in Atlantic City. My two friends and I went down to see Interpol and I had a grand idea of staying over to see the band, gamble and drink without having to worry about driving home. Perfect.

Awesome dinner at the fondue place, then it was about a mile walk, through the 'shady' parts of AC, to the House of Blues.

It was such a great, fantastic & splendid show. Really, the music was just SO good live and I knew every song...fun times.

For some reason it wasn't packed, so we got real close to the stage and just hipster-danced around with the rest of the crowd. Lead singer, Paul, is really charming though he doesn't say much. And guitarist Daniel is like (and this is the weirdest analogy ever), but like Woody from Toy Story. While playing, he would move about with a hop, skip and jump from one side to the next in this cool, marionette meets rock star vibe.

Funny enough, after the show, my friends and I took a turn at the roulette wheel and the guitarist was down and about - he's a tiny thing - but I was scared to complement him on the show. It's always weird when band members are with friends, family or girlfriends/boyfriends, I feel approaching them is bothersome. Oh wells.

We were hoping the singer would be down, but alas, he was not. Some of the opening bands' members were playing some and one of them played at our table - silly, cute hipsters.

Now to plan my next trip down there...


Back in the swing of making things hardcore. Excited though, a lot of these pieces are killer.

Interpol Overdose!

I'm OBSESSED with this song currently. I think I've just listened to it like 15 times in a row. And there's a free download via their website or NyMag.com somewhere. LOVE

It currently captures exactly how I'm feeling right now. I really hope I get to see them next weekend.

I sent her a box of goodies and then she surprises me with a stunning shot of Jordan Supernavage, who has like no make up on and is freakin' stunning as hell in one a black faux snakeskin Minxy dress. WHOA!

So yea, back to work I go. I really need to do a video blog.

It's still awkward driving my new car, but got to drive down to Philly-ish area this weekend, so I guess that'll break it in.

It'll be my first time at the new location of Knitting Factory...man, I honestly wasn't aware of when they first moved, but I realized it about a year after and was so bummed. I can't even count how many times my sister and I went to the Leonard Street location. That place rocked and probably beat out Starland Ballroom as most visited venue for us. ::cries!::

Yay! First Interview!

So cool!

I'm working on two other submissions and two runway shows. YES - TWO! Why? B/c I'm crazy and can't say no, but always love working with with the people behind The Reflections Project and then the ladies of Sugar & Spikes.

Well, the opening bit is a drag pagent and it's at Webster Hall. Know what it reminded me of? One of the greatest fashion shows ever thrown there - New York Couture!

Jeffree has modeled for the line, so it comes full circle.

OMG! It's June! When did that happen?

Fashion Event!!!

I'm there along with 3 other designers. 3 bands. Rad times

My stuff takes the stage around 9pm. Starting things off! Gives me time to dress the models, watch them go out, come back, clean up and then head out to hang with the crowd!

Sunday: 6 days to doomsday

EEK!!! I'm running behind and shouldn't be here typing, but let's do a mild recap of yesterday -

Went to NYC early and got ready to help out for designer, Sumie Tachibana, at her show in Queens, which also featured a couple other amazing designers!

It was a smaller show in regards to number of models and venue size, but the work and time that went into it, was retarded. The craftmanship that these designers has is bananas.

The show started off with pieces made by students of Sumie and for the young students, it must have been fun to have designs shown on the runway so young, yet they all were really nervous. They were so cute!

Sohung Designs went next and the zipper detailing was BEAUTIFUL! I was drooling. They really made the statement and quite the work of art.

Joel Voisard showed off his metal work jewelery and those were interesting and nerve-wracking watching him 're-sculpt' the pieces on the models seconds before they went out.

Rockaway Beach Bikinis only showed four pieces, but they were super cute - I considered it 50's pin-up in Capri. Striped Barbie-like one-piece, yes ma'am!

Feral Childe is your typical hipster style line, but really interesting prints and ideas - their dresses are so easy to wear. I can't see myself rockin' this ready-to-wear line, but definitely worth checking it out.

Sumie had seven looks and she works all in black - but she had one dress was this vintage grayish material and another was a black with red dashes throughout. It just sucked because there's SO much detailing in her work and you can't appreciate it as much seeing it on the runway. But as a look, it made for fierce runway.

From backstage, things went smoothly. There was one or two wardrobe problems, but the models were great about making sure they were dressed and ready to walk.

After we cleaned up, I was off to the New York Couture show. I had no one to go with me though!

Low and behold - the other NYCouture intern, Nikki, was there and I chilled with her and my other designer friend Becky Vanderway had just come from the Christian Siriano show. I looked rockin in my stars poofy dress, though my tights made my feet slip in my shoes and i couldn't walk.

The show started late, but it was a big rainbow on crack that came down the runway. LOVED IT! There wasn't too many new desings, but a bunch of new color combos and materials and lots of sequins, tulle and bows.

I was so excited to see Betsey Johnson's aesthetic really coming out in this collection.

Ultraviolet Sound palyed for a half hour after and OMG they were so good! We danced the whole time and they were so much fun and all the moments of mixing freestyle tunes, I sang along.

There was nothing to crazy that happened. Everyone had a fun time.

Now It's back to finishing my collection and praying things went as well as these two shows did.

Let the Countdown Begin...

As I look at the clock say 1am, I realize the Reflections event is a week away.

Looks I still have to prepare: 4 guys & 5 (?) girls, also my own!

ugh! my sister is helping do small hand stitch work, b/c she's quicker at that than I am, but I'm still nervous I won't have everything done.

I've been helping out this amazing designer Sumie Tachibana for the past months - just a couple days - for her collection, which she's showing tomorrow in Long Island City. I'm helping out as well all day, shall be fun.

Then I'm heading over to the New York Couture show. Crazy! I'm going to be so tired tomorrow.

I'm torn on music for my show. erf. I need to go and sew a little before bed. I wish I was like Sabrina and could just point and the pieces come together. Plus, our cat Kitty would be able to talk. Damn that Salem!
